Treehouse Bed

Boy oh Boy, is it fun to spoil your children!

Julia's room has been a bit in a holding pattern until I found the Tree House Bed.  The moments I laid eyes on it, I was sold.  I checked with Oli that if he was a girl would he still like it at 9 years old.  His repsonse, "um, yeaaahhhh".  Wait till you see what we have in mind for his room.  Well, yes you will have to wait because these things seem to take a lot of time to get on the top of our list.

Waiting and waiting for the delivery.

"I want to be just like the girl in the picture"

Here is the picture from the catalog that she has been carrying around with her for weeks.

"I'm so lucky!"

Lincoln City with the girls

I'm still on an absolute high from my weekend in  Lincoln City with college girlfriends.  9 girls from 4 different states for a weekend of gabbing, shopping and even a bit of crafting.  What more could I want?

All 9 of us have multiple kids and one of the best things was receiving all the text messages and videos from the dads at home.

Brett seemed to have a lot of fun with the kids and I even came home to a roast chicken dinner!

Carra Cadman's beach rental house.

I picked up Carrie and Carra at the Portland Airport and we made a nice stop at Argyle Winery on the way out to the coast.

After a little wine tasting and lunch, I could have gone home satisfied and that was just the beginning.

Thanks, Carra for sharing your beach house with us!

Oli's Pentathalon

Oli had a swimming pentathalon over the weekend and he made us proud. Very proud.  I think Brett has watched this video a dozen times.  Still waiting on official results but we think he was 5th overall.

Here is a great video of his IM.

Good big sister

Julia loves her little brother and she loves doing things right. This was a really big deal...giving Tyler a bottle for the first time.

I hope that she always loves him this much.

MS Walk 2013

Today was the MS Walk...due to various reasons, we were not very well organized this year (for instance, I got our family there 90 mins before the actual start of the walk).  Oh well!  We still had a good time but look forward to next year when we 1) actual do the walk and 2) have the start and finish lines on University of Washington's Husky Stadium field again.  Just brings out the best in everyone thinking they are a winning quarterback!

Team Camron was a half the size of the past teams...but neither Pat McDonald nor I actual did any recruiting this year.  There is always next year!

Can always count on Marisa to help with the kids.  She is fantastic!

Olivia proudly holding the sign for Aunt Camron.

Look at those teeth!

Look at that lip!

I love this photo...that calm look on his face is very typical of our youngest son.

Pat and Sydney enjoying a pre-walk hug.

Check out these faces and you will agree that it was time for us to go home vs start the walk.  We had had nearly 2 hours of playing in a parking lot in 40 degree weather.  Best that we got home for naptime.

Natalie's Baby Shower

I'm back to the blogging world. A series of computer issues is making it very difficult to blog but I've got a work around that while cumbersome is hopefully going to work.

I was so honored to host Natalie's baby shower today (co-host with her friend Lisa).  Natalie's friendship means the world to me and to shower her with gifts, kindness and sweets was rewarding.  Her baby girl will be a treasure and Julia has recently been asking for a baby sister and Baby Gossett will be just the little girl in her life she is asking for.

Yes, this was the cake!  The theme was a tea party...inspired by Julia's love of tea parties.

The one and only game was 'guess how big Natalie's belly is?'

Pregnany suits this gal, huh?  She simply glows!

The quilt from her mom was an absolute piece of work.  One day I hope to sew like that for my grandchildren.

I couldn't resist making Natalie an ABC book like she did for Julia 3 years ago.

Natalie and my co-hostess lisa.  Their baby girls will be born VERY close to each other...how special!
